We really hope you’re enjoying our series on all of the alternatives to water ionizers on the market today, and how they compare to Tyent machines!
Is a Whole House Filter the Answer?
Right now, we’re going to take a look at a pretty tempting-sounding option in these times of worry and fear about what’s lurking in our source water – a whole-house filter.
If you want the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the water flowing from your main pipe is being filtered before it hits the taps or the shower, then we understand that. Clean water is routed around your home, without the need for tap filters.
Acidic Turbo Water
However, it’s not perfect. Once you invest in a whole house system, then you lose control over the type of water you’re able to access.
Alkaline water from a Tyent water ionizer machine is brimming with hydrogen, antioxidant goodness and minerals. By contrast, acidic water shouldn’t be drunk, but is superb for cleaning fruit and vegetables of pesticides and herbicides, general household cleaning, and even as beauty water and mouthwash!
With a whole house filter, you lose the ability to switch between the two, which is a fantastic feature of a water ionizer. It’s worth bearing in mind that you can also add filters to the shower heads around your home (Tyent has a range of these) for further peace of mind.
Filters and Filtration
While whole house filters are a good overall option, do keep in mind that filtration capabilities are likely to vary from model to model and their effectiveness will also depend on your source water and specific contaminants therein.
A Tyent water ionizer removes around 200 contaminants and 99.9% of lead with filters that have the same micron level as kidney dialysis machines.
