                             Chicken Piccata with Marsala Sauce

 

  chef-carrying-a-plate-of-food  Chicken Piccata Marsala.  The name itself has an upper echelon flair to it doesn’t it?

Nevertheless, don’t allow the name to give you pause or cause you to shy away from preparing this wonderfully delicious meal.

While this dish has a fancy name, it is actually quite easy to prepare and has a flavor that will leave you, your family and guests (because you will make it again), licking their lips and clamoring for more.

Piccata is an Italian word.  Essentially, Piccata is thinly sliced chicken, veal, or other meat, cooked in a sauce.  

Marsala sauce is easily made from Marsala wine, which creates a deliciously rich sauce bursting with flavor.

My wife is a great cook and pot roast is one of her specialties.  This is her favorite recipe. 

A roast prepared this way makes for the tenderest, most flavorful roast you may ever eat.  The vegetables take on that same delicious flavor that is guaranteed to electrocute your taste buds.  Additionally, this makes a gravy that is ridiculously flavorful.

When my wife makes this she allows the roast to marinate in a large zip-lock freezer bag anywhere from eight to twenty-four hours.  A little prep time the day or night before makes for an easy fix when you’re ready to cook it.
