Brain health is crucial, and yet most of us are probably guilty of taking our brains for granted.
As soon as you stop to think about the thousands of incredible feats that our brains help us to achieve every hour of every day, you start to appreciate how brilliant our brains really are – and how we should try to take good care of them.
With that in mind, we’ve nailed down the four most genius, failsafe ways to give your brain some health-focused TLC!
1. Feed Your Brain
If you only eat junk food, or sugary, fat-laden or chemical-laced processed foods, then over time, some aspects of your health will likely be affected. Your brain is not immune to the effects of a poor diet. In fact, you can boost your brain health by eating the right things, including:
- Nuts (especially walnuts)
- Green leafy vegetables
- Red, black and blue berries, such as strawberries, mulberries and blackberries
- Seeds
- Avocado
- Dark chocolate
- Omega 3-rich fatty fish
2. Rest Your Brain
You know how you feel when you haven’t had enough sleep, particularly over a longer period of time. You know that you’re not mentally firing on all cylinders and that you’re basically trying to operate through a fog of tiredness.
Your brain needs rest, it really does. Sleep deprivation can affect decision-making, emotions and your ability to work effectively. It’s not as simple as needing to give your brain a break for a few hours – there are certain vital jobs that your brain needs to carry out during sleep.
Metabolic toxins that accumulate during the day are washed away while you sleep. During the ‘deep’ part of your sleep cycle, cerebral spinal fluid circulates more freely to remove waste proteins.
3. Give Your Brain a Workout!
Exercising for as little as 20 minutes a day can help to benefit your brain health. In a 2003 study, scientists assessed the link between physical exercise and cognitive faculties.
It’s also worth remembering that what’s good for your heart is also good for your brain – when you workout, you pump oxygen and nutrient-rich blood around your body, to your brain.
4. Hydrate Your Brain
Here’s a fact that’s hard to forget once you’ve learned it: a dehydrated brain shrinks slightly away from the skull. Yep, scientists studying this phenomenon found that the brain loses volume and contracts as a result of insufficient hydration, and unsurprisingly, the effect isn’t positive.
In fact, memory, how you perceive risks, tasks and planning are affected. You might feel moodier than usual, and to top it all off, you probably have a headache.
Drinking water from a water ionizer can make a world of difference. Hydrogen-packed ionized water tastes amazing and hydrates you faster and for longer than tap or bottled water.

Some other companies offer 7 and 9 plate water ionizers on their sites until now. I thought the number of plates increased over the years. A lot of your models seem to have more plates than these. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Hi, Jeremy. Wonderful observation. You’re right, our most advanced and top-performing ionizers have up to 13 plates. Our ionizers are built with a higher number of Solid/Mesh Hybrid plates with a larger surface area, which means that they are capable of more powerful electrolysis to provide optimum -ORP and pH levels.
We would love to talk to you more about our plates, so please give us a call at 855-893-6887.
