Water ionizer plates are actually really fascinating to learn about. Whether your interest is mechanical, health-driven or aesthetic, ionizer plates are pretty fascinating things!
Why are Water Ionizer Plates so Important?
A water ionizer often rises or falls on a few key elements. One of those factors is the quality of its plates.
The electrically charged plates in an ionizer are a vital component in the ionization process. The filtered water flows over them in the electrolysis chamber enabling positive and negative electrical charges to pass through the liquid creating acidic and alkaline water.
The plates in a Tyent ionizer are something very special. We know that to maximize the process of electrolysis, the surface area of the plates needs to be as large as possible, while still being strong. One option that might achieve this is using mesh plates. The mesh structure will increase the surface area but is far weaker due to its relatively flimsy construction.
Why Tyent Water Ionizer Plates are The Best!
Our team went back to the drawing board to create a plate that would be both incredibly strong and as powerful as possible. The result is the Solid/Mesh Hybrid plates found in our water ionizers today — constructed from titanium and dipped multiple times in platinum for unbeatable durability. To increase the surface area and maximize its power, our engineers found a way to drill the plates without compromising their strength, achieving the paradigm of performance we wanted.
No Cutting Corners!
The reality is that cheaper plates are likely to fail eventually, after becoming gradually eroded and compromised. If you buy an ionizer with cheaply made plates, imagine how shoddy the less vital components might be!
We don’t cut a single corner when it comes to how our ionizers are made, which is why every Tyent ionizer comes with an unbeatable Lifetime Guarantee.
Water Ionizer of the Year – Again!
We’re proud that Tyent has once again been awarded the honor of Water Ionizer of the Year, marking our eighth year of winning this important industry title since 2009, recognizing our ongoing commitment to excellence.

So what else makes Tyent ionizer plates good?
Hi, Sandy. As the article states, Tyent water ionizers have a premium Solid/Mesh Hybrid plate. The sole purpose of an ionizer plate is to provide electrolysis to create the amazing ionized alkaline water that we all know and love. When solid plates (Kangen/Enagic) alone are used, there is not enough electrolysis produced to provide optimum pH levels, which is why Enagic must add chemicals to their water to get better results.
At Tyent, we are chemical-free. To achieve optimal -ORP and pH levels we never have to add chemicals, and here’s why:
Tyent engineers are always on a mission to take something good, like a solid plate, and make it extraordinary. That’s why our engineers created Tyent’s amazing Solid/Mesh Hybrid plate for all of our water ionizers. All of Tyent’s water ionizer plates offer the durability of a solid plate, and go a step further by having electrolysis distribution holes strategically placed throughout to provide the most groundbreaking electrolysis chamber in the world! Our plates are platinum titanium and dipped multiple times in platinum for strength and durability. Plus, you’ll be happy to know that when your 5-year Enagic warranty is up, you can upgrade to a Tyent water ionizer that offers a lifetime warranty on both parts and service… with no fine print and zero stipulations. Learn more about our plates, our lifetime warranty and our filters by reading this article.
How do these compare to plates from Kangen?
Hi, Iana. Thanks for your question. Their filters are just not as advanced as ours. When solid plates (Kangen/Enagic) alone are used, there is not enough electrolysis produced to provide optimum -ORP and pH levels, compared to our upgraded Solid/Mesh Hybrid plates. Plus, chemicals must be added to the Enagic water ionizer to get better pH results. On the other hand, Tyent is chemical-free.
We also have 13 plates in our ACE-13 water ionizer compared to their 7 or 8 plate units. Tyent’s Solid/Mesh Hybrid plates offer the durability of a solid plate and go a step further by having electrolysis distribution holes strategically placed throughout to provide the most groundbreaking electrolysis chamber in the world. Our plates are platinum-coated titanium and dipped multiple times in platinum for strength and durability. What’s even better is that we offer a lifetime warranty on both parts and service! Kangen’s warranty is only 5 years, and it’s very limited. Kangen will void your warranty if you don’t send it in for service about every 6 months. Plus, we offer a 75-day trial compared to Kangen’s 3-day trial.

Hi!
I would like to know about Tyent’s plates versus Kangen’s plates. I’m trying to decide which one I should buy.
Many thanks. – Oscar
Hi, Oscar. Thanks for your question. A major difference between Tyent and Kangen plates is their material. Kangen uses only solid plates, so there is not enough electrolysis produced to provide optimum -ORP and pH levels. Plus, they tend to add chemicals to achieve more optimal pH levels. On the other hand, Tyent uses premium Solid/Mesh Hybrid plates that offer the durability of a solid plate and go a step further by having electrolysis distribution holes strategically placed throughout to provide the most groundbreaking electrolysis chamber in the world. Our plates are platinum-coated titanium and dipped multiple times in platinum for strength and durability. Also, at Tyent, we’re proudly chemical-free.

How many plates do Tyent ionizers have?
Hi, Catherine. Our water ionizers have 9, 11, or 13 plates depending on the model. These are numbers that other water ionizer companies just can’t match. The greater amount and larger size of our plates are equivalent to stronger electrolysis, which lets our machines produce optimal levels of molecular hydrogen and alkalinity. Plus, having medical-grade plates means that we don’t need to resort to using chemicals to raise the pH levels of our water.
