Many Ask…Are There Studies on Alkaline Water?
The short answer is an unequivocal yes. There are many existing studies on alkaline water, and more being published all the time. Scientists are excited by its properties, and there seems to be an unofficial race to find the next breakthrough.
There are literally hundreds of bodies of research out there. Today, we’re going to take a look at two.
A Close Look At Molecular Hydrogen
The first is a great introduction to the world of lab-based studies. Let’s look at Molecular hydrogen: An inert gas turns clinically effective.
This eye-opening report points to the results of clinical testing over the last 5 years, and how Molecular hydrogen (H2) established it’s medicinal values.
H2 “Improves Medical End Points”
The research, which summarizes data on Molecular Hydrogen as a medical agent, tells us that a number of clinical trials, including studies on metabolic diseases and types of cancer, indicate that H2 “improves medical end-points.”
Alkaline water from your Tyent Water Ionizer is packed with hydrogen, containing many more hydrogen atoms that regular water.
We welcome more research such as this with open arms. After all, hydrogen is the beginning of all life, and the more we get of it, the better!
Soccer Players Under the Microscope!
Sticking with the hydrogen theme, the second body of research is a pilot study that looked at the effects of drinking hydrogen-rich water on muscle fatigue.
Now we know that many athletes and fitness professionals choose to drink Tyent ionized water, but to what effect?
The scientists in this study looked at the effects of hydrogen-rich water on muscle fatigue following an intense period of exercise. Male soccer players were given either hydrogen water or placebo/regular water, and then clinically observed in physical tests and blood sampling.
The study concluded that the athletes hydrated with hydrogen water showed improved muscle function and reduced blood lactate levels (anaerobic exercise-induced lactic acid in the blood).

These are two studies among hundreds on the far-reaching properties of alkaline water.
It’s one thing to drink delicious water from your ionizer and feel hydrated and energized. It’s another to be able to understand why these effects, and many more, are causing excitement throughout the international scientific community.

Statement from above article:
Alkaline water from your Tyent Ionizer is packed with hydrogen, containing many more oxygen atoms that regular water.
Should this not say – containing many more hydrogen atoms than regular water?
Hi Bev,
Thank you so much for catching this mistake. Yes, it should say hydrogen and not oxygen. I went ahead and fixed it. Thanks again:)
Does this mean that all alkaline water on the market has molecular hydrogen?
Hi, Alex. Not necessarily. Please note that not all alkaline water is of the same quality. Let me explain. For example, some bottled alkaline water companies just add baking soda and some minerals to raise the pH of their water, and this is not very beneficial at all. It’s a shame that some people only have this source of alkaline water to go by.
Tyent water ionizers produce a different kind of alkaline water. Our alkaline water, as you read in this article, is filled with antioxidants and molecular hydrogen. Molecular hydrogen is one of the smallest and most powerful antioxidants on the planet. Using the negative oxygen reduction potential (-ORP), we can measure its presence in our water. The lower the level, the richer the water is with antioxidants. At Tyent, our water has the optimal -ORP levels, indicating the presence of molecular hydrogen.
